Dark Souls Achievement Checklist

Overview
⚠ SPOILER ALERT

This guide names every boss, covenant, ending and major story reveal in Dark Souls: Remastered. Read on only if you're fine knowing what's ahead.

* next to a tab or a highlighted box means that trophy has a missable requirement.

41 trophies total. Fastest route to achieve them all is 3 playthroughs (main run + NG+ + NG++), because boss souls are one per cycle and the Soul of Sif alone feeds three different weapons. Co-op drop trading collapses this to fewer cycles.

Every trophy

Ticking a box here ticks it on its own tab, and vice versa. Rows that track a whole tab fill in on their own once it's complete — you can also tick them by hand. Click any name to jump there.

Trophies that unlock automatically

No setup needed — the platinum route forces all nine. None of them can be missed on a run that reaches the Kiln of the First Flame.

The Nine Covenants8 Silver · 1 Bronze

"Discover X covenant." Nine separate trophies. The trophy fires on the confirmation prompt, not on the oath: choose "Join Covenant", wait for the box reading "Join Covenant? (abandons former Covenant)" to appear, and the trophy pops a few seconds later. Answering Yes or No is not required — so you can pop all nine without ever actually changing covenant, and without halving the rank you've built elsewhere.

Four of these die with an NPC. Gravelord Servant ends when Nito dies, Blade of the Darkmoon ends when Gwyndolin dies, Princess's Guard ends when Gwynevere dies, and Darkwraith never opens at all if you hand the Lordvessel to Frampt. Three of those NPCs are trophies in their own right, so the order below is not optional.

Prerequisites to secure first

Six key items gate the nine covenants between them. Tick them off as you collect them.

Items to carry (6)
  • Darkmoon Seance Ring *
  • Eye of Death *
  • Crest of Artorias
  • Covenant of Artorias ring
  • Key to the Seal *
  • Lordvessel *

Conditions that are not items

  1. 25 Faith for Warrior of Sunlight, reduced by 5 for every boss you clear as a summoned white phantom — five clears bring it to zero. Remastered password summons count.
  2. Ornstein & Smough dead before Gwynevere will hand over the Lordvessel and offer the Princess's Guard.
  3. The second Bell of Awakening rung before Eingyi and the Daughter of Chaos exist to be spoken to.
  4. Nito still alive for Gravelord Servant, and Gwyndolin still alive for Blade of the Darkmoon.
  5. Lordvessel in hand but not placed with Frampt — placing it removes Kaathe and closes Darkwraith for the cycle.
  6. The Darkmoon Seance Ring carries into NG+, so you only ever have to find it once across all three cycles.

The nine covenants

Covenant: Way of WhiteBronze
  1. Talk to Petrus of Thorolund at Firelink Shrine — he appears there from the start.
  2. He offers the covenant himself on the first conversation. Let the prompt appear.
  3. Rhea of Thorolund can also induct you if Petrus is already dead.
Covenant: Forest HunterSilver
  1. Buy the Crest of Artorias from Blacksmith Andre for 20,000 souls and open the sealed door in Darkroot Garden.
  2. Alternatively, skip the Crest entirely: go through Darkroot Basin, kill the Hydra, climb the two ladders, cross the walkway and fight the three Forest Cats.
  3. Either route ends at Alvina, the cat in the stone ruins. Talk to her.
  4. She asks two questions — answer yes to both.
Covenant: Warrior of SunlightSilver
  1. Reach 25 Faith — or lower the bar by co-op: each boss you clear as a summoned white phantom cuts the requirement by 5, so five clears drop it to zero. Remastered password summons count.
  2. Cross the Hellkite Wyvern bridge in Undead Burg and take the doorway on the right.
  3. Pray at the broken Altar of Sunlight.
  4. Ranking to +1 (10 Sunlight Medals) is what yields Great Lightning Spear for Prayer of a Maiden — the trophy itself needs only the prompt.
Covenant: Path of the DragonSilver
  1. From the Blighttown swamp, find the hollow tree near the Valley of Drakes exit and break the two illusory walls guarding The Great Hollow.
  2. Climb all the way down The Great Hollow into Ash Lake. Light the bonfire on arrival.
  3. Walk to the far end of the lake and pray to the Everlasting Dragon.
  4. Answer yes. Cutting the dragon's tail for the Dragon Greatsword does not break this covenant, as long as you never strike its body.
Covenant: Gravelord Servant — before Nito diesSilver
  1. Carry at least one Eye of Death. Without one in your inventory the coffin does nothing at all.
  2. In the Catacombs, go to the crypt where the Titanite Demon stands — you do not need to kill it.
  3. One coffin in that tunnel juts out further than the rest and is empty. Stand in front of it and take the "nestle into" prompt.
  4. Wait roughly 30 seconds for the cutscene; it drops you next to Nito in the Tomb of the Giants.
  5. Walk to the large coffin and pray to Gravelord Nito to form the covenant.
  6. Rank +1 costs 10 Eyes of Death and yields Gravelord Greatsword Dance for Prayer of a Maiden.
Covenant: Chaos ServantSilver
  1. Defeat Chaos Witch Quelaag and ring the second Bell of Awakening.
  2. Go down one floor from the bell lever and strike the walls covered in spider eggs until one vanishes.
  3. Eingyi blocks the corridor and asks whether you are a new servant of the Fair Lady. Answer yes.
  4. Talk to the Daughter of Chaos beside the bonfire and select "Enter Covenant". You receive Great Chaos Fireball.
  5. Offering 30 Humanity in total reaches +2: Chaos Storm, plus the shortcut to Lost Izalith.
Covenant: Princess's Guard — before Gwynevere diesSilver
  1. Defeat Ornstein & Smough, then ride the lift up to the Royal Bedchamber.
  2. Talk to Gwynevere and take the Lordvessel.
  3. Talk to her a second time to be offered the covenant. Joining hands you the Ring of the Sun Princess.
  4. Do this before you go anywhere near Darkstalker Kaathe — see the warning at the bottom of this tab.
Covenant: Blade of the Darkmoon — before Gwyndolin diesSilver
  1. Pick up the Darkmoon Seance Ring in the Catacombs and carry it to Anor Londo.
  2. Ride the big rotating lift in the middle of Anor Londo all the way down, then take the stairs to the Darkmoon Tomb bonfire.
  3. Equip the ring — the statue barring the way vanishes.
  4. Walk down the corridor towards the fog wall but do not enter it. Gwyndolin speaks; when he finishes, kneel on the carpet.
  5. Accept to join. You receive the Blue Eye Orb and the Darkmoon Blade Covenant Ring.
  6. Rank +1 costs 10 Souvenirs of Reprisal and yields the Darkmoon Blade miracle for Prayer of a Maiden.
Covenant: Darkwraith — the one that is genuinely easy to loseSilver
  1. Kill Great Grey Wolf Sif for the Covenant of Artorias ring. The game strips this ring on every new cycle, so you redo it in NG+.
  2. Get the Lordvessel from Gwynevere — and do not place it on the Firelink altar, and ideally do not talk to Frampt at all.
  3. Talk to Ingward on the New Londo Ruins rooftop; with the Lordvessel in hand he gives you the Key to the Seal. (Killing him also drops it, but buy Resist Curse off him first — see the Wisdom of a Sage tab.)
  4. Drain New Londo, equip the Covenant of Artorias ring and enter the Abyss. This starts the Four Kings fight.
  5. Defeat the Four Kings, then speak to Darkstalker Kaathe. Answer yes to his question or the covenant closes.
  6. Enter the covenant to receive the Dark Hand. Frampt disappears afterwards.
The Kaathe / Princess's Guard bug. If you walk up to Darkstalker Kaathe while you are an active member of the Princess's Guard, he vanishes for the rest of the playthrough and absolution will not bring him back. Since the trophy only needs the prompt, the safe play is: take Gwynevere's prompt for the Princess's Guard trophy and answer No, or join and then abandon the covenant at a bonfire before you ever set foot in the Abyss.
Placing the Lordvessel ends the Darkwraith route. Once Frampt takes the Lordvessel, Kaathe never appears and the Dark Hand is gone for the cycle. If you spoke to Frampt but have not yet placed it, use a Homeward Bone to break off — you can still trade with him normally later.
Entering Gwyndolin's fog is a betrayal. Stepping through that fog while you are a Blade of the Darkmoon gets you kicked out and earns a sin; killing him closes the covenant permanently for that cycle. Join, rank up to +1 for Darkmoon Blade, then fight him.
Oswald of Carim undoes mistakes. At the foot of the Undead Parish bell tower after the first bell. Absolution (500 × your level) un-aggros NPCs you hit by accident and re-opens a covenant you were kicked out of — but cannot resurrect anyone. In Remastered a hard betrayal also blocks bonfire-joining until you absolve.
Carry Darkwraith into NG+. A new cycle drops every covenant except the one you are wearing when it begins, and the rest cannot be bonfire-joined until you redo their questline. Darkwraith is by far the most expensive to set up again.
Weapon reinforcementBronze ×10

"Acquire best wpn through X reinfrc." Ten separate trophies, one per upgrade path, and each needs a weapon taken to the maximum of that path — not merely put onto it. You can reuse one cheap weapon for several paths, but each finished path must exist at its cap at some point.

Embers do not carry into New Game Plus. Every ember is stripped at the start of a new cycle, so all ten paths must be finished inside a single playthrough — you cannot bank progress across cycles the way you can with boss souls.

Embers — hand each to the right blacksmith

  • Very Large Ember
  • Divine Ember
  • Large Divine Ember
  • Dark Ember *
  • Large Magic Ember

  • Crystal Ember
  • Large Flame Ember

Slabs you must have banked

Titanite slabs (4)
  • 3 × Titanite Slab
  • 2 × Blue Titanite Slab
  • 2 × White Titanite Slab
  • 2 × Red Titanite Slab

The ten paths

Strongest Weapon — Normal +15Bronze
  1. Give Andre in the Undead Parish both the Large Ember and the Very Large Ember.
  2. +0 → +5 costs 9 Titanite Shards; +5 → +10 costs 9 Large Titanite Shards.
  3. +10 → +14 costs 8 Titanite Chunks; +14 → +15 costs 1 Titanite Slab.
Raw Weapon — Raw +5Bronze
  1. Take a weapon to Normal +5.
  2. Andre ascends it to Raw with the Large Ember.
  3. Raw +1 to +5 takes Large Titanite Shards only — this is the one path with no slab.
Crystal Weapon — Crystal +5Bronze
  1. Take a weapon to Normal +10 — crystal branches off the high end, not +5.
  2. Give the Giant Blacksmith in Anor Londo the Crystal Ember, and have him ascend it.
  3. Crystal +1 to +5 takes Titanite Chunks, then a Titanite Slab for +5.
Lightning Weapon — Lightning +5Bronze
  1. Take a weapon to Normal +10.
  2. The Giant Blacksmith ascends it to Lightning with no ember at all — he can do this natively.
  3. Lightning +1 to +5 takes Titanite Chunks, then a Titanite Slab for +5.
Magic Weapon — Magic +10Bronze
  1. Take a weapon to Normal +5.
  2. Rickert of Vinheim, caged in New Londo Ruins, ascends it to Magic natively.
  3. Magic +1 to +5 takes Green Titanite Shards.
  4. Give Rickert the Large Magic Ember to go past +5; +6 to +9 takes Blue Titanite Chunks and +10 takes a Blue Titanite Slab.
Enchanted Weapon — Enchanted +5Bronze
  1. Build a Magic +5 weapon first — enchanted branches off magic, not off normal.
  2. Give Rickert the Enchanted Ember and have him ascend it.
  3. Enchanted +1 to +5 takes Blue Titanite Chunks, then a Blue Titanite Slab for +5.
Divine Weapon — Divine +10Bronze
  1. Take a weapon to Normal +5.
  2. Give Andre the Divine Ember; he ascends it to Divine. +1 to +5 takes Green Titanite Shards.
  3. Give Andre the Large Divine Ember to go past +5; +6 to +9 takes White Titanite Chunks and +10 takes a White Titanite Slab.
Occult Weapon — Occult +5Bronze
  1. Build a Divine +5 weapon first.
  2. Fetch the Dark Ember from the Painted World Annex — this needs the Annex Key, so the Painted World is mandatory for this trophy too.
  3. Give Andre the Dark Ember and have him ascend it.
  4. Occult +1 to +5 takes White Titanite Chunks, then a White Titanite Slab for +5.
Fire Weapon — Fire +10Bronze
  1. Take a weapon to Normal +5.
  2. Blacksmith Vamos, the skeleton in the Catacombs, ascends it to Fire natively. +1 to +5 takes Green Titanite Shards.
  3. Give Vamos the Large Flame Ember to go past +5; +6 to +9 takes Red Titanite Chunks and +10 takes a Red Titanite Slab.
Chaos Weapon — Chaos +5Bronze
  1. Build a Fire +5 weapon first.
  2. Give Vamos the Chaos Flame Ember and have him ascend it.
  3. Chaos +1 to +5 takes Red Titanite Chunks, then a Red Titanite Slab for +5.
  4. Chaos scales with Humanity carried, so hold 10 before you judge the damage.
Knight's HonorSilver

"Acquire all rare weapons." 47 weapons and shields, all on the same character. This is the trophy that sets the length of the whole platinum: boss souls are one per cycle and the Soul of Sif alone feeds three weapons, so you need NG++ unless another player drops you spare souls. No Artorias of the Abyss weapon is required, even in Remastered.

Prerequisites

  1. Reach the Giant Blacksmith in Anor Londo — he is the only smith who ascends boss souls, at 5,000 souls a time.
  2. Bring every base weapon to +10 before ascension. Catalysts are the exception: they cannot be upgraded first.
  3. Return to the Northern Undead Asylum: ride the Firelink lift toward Undead Parish, jump off onto the ruined ledge, climb the tower to the giant crow's nest and rest in it. This is the only source of the Crest Shield and the Peculiar Doll.
  4. Take the Peculiar Doll to the big painting in Anor Londo to enter the Painted World of Ariamis, then find the Annex Key inside it and break the wooden planks behind its door — the only route to Velka's Rapier.
  5. Place the Lordvessel, be in Human form, and leave Nito alive: all three at once, or Paladin Leeroy never invades and Grant and Sanctus are lost for the cycle.
  6. Kill Smough first on one cycle and Ornstein first on another — you only receive the soul of whichever one dies second.
  7. Join Gravelord Servant before killing Nito, for the Gravelord Sword.
  8. Join Darkwraith through Kaathe for the Dark Hand, or farm it from the Darkwraith enemies in lower New Londo Ruins.

Boss soul weapons (15)

Each needs the listed soul plus a base weapon of the right class already at +10, ascended by the Giant Blacksmith. Catalysts are the exception — they cannot be upgraded first.

Paladin Leeroy has three conditions, and one of them expires. He only invades in the Tomb of the Giants if the Lordvessel is placed (the yellow fog gates are gone), you are in Human form, and Gravelord Nito is still alive. Kill Nito first and Leeroy never shows up for that cycle — Grant and Sanctus are both gone. Do not knock him off the ledge either, or his drops may be unrecoverable.
Ornstein and Smough are two cycles, not one fight. The soul you receive is the soul of whichever one you kill second — the one who supercharges. Kill Smough first to get the Soul of Ornstein (Dragonslayer Spear); kill Ornstein first to get the Soul of Smough (Smough's Hammer). There is no way to get both in a single playthrough without a second player dropping you one.
Boss soul weapons can be downgraded and reused. Revert one to a +10 base weapon and ascend it again — what you already crafted still counts towards the trophy.
Two disputed weapons — grab them anyway. Some guides also list the Gargoyle Tail Axe (Bell Gargoyles' tail) and the Izalith Catalyst (Daughter of Chaos drop); the two best-maintained community lists exclude both and settle on 47. Neither costs anything to pick up. Definitely not needed: Demon's Spear, Ghost Blade, Titanite Catch Pole, Avelyn, Gargoyle's Halberd, Ricard's Rapier, Balder Side Sword, Demon's Catalyst.
Wisdom of a SageSilver

"Acquire all sorceries." 24 sorceries — the game has 28, but the four Artorias of the Abyss ones (Dark Bead, Dark Orb, Dark Fog, Pursuers) are not counted, in the original or in Remastered. Nearly all of them are bought, so this trophy is really two NPC questlines that both have a point of no return.

Prerequisites

  1. Reach 10 Intelligence to buy from Griggs and 15 Intelligence to buy from Logan at Firelink. Logan drops the 15 requirement once he reaches the Archives; Griggs never drops his.
  2. Free Griggs of Vinheim in Lower Undead Burg. Needs the Residence Key bought from the Undead Merchant — the Master Key does not open that door. Roll through the barrels in his room rather than attacking them, or you will kill him.
  3. Free Big Hat Logan in Sen's Fortress: rotate the boulder machine so a boulder smashes the wall behind the sleeping Man-Serpent, then open the cage with the Cage Key or the Master Key.
  4. Free Logan a second time in The Duke's Archives — the big cage at the bottom of the spiral stairs, guarded by Pisacas. Needs the Archive Tower Giant Cell Key.
  5. Buy out every spell Logan sells, roughly 183,000 souls, or he never goes mad and White Dragon Breath never appears.
  6. Free Dusk of Oolacile in Darkroot Basin: kill the Hydra, reload the area so the Golden Crystal Golem spawns, kill it without lingering AoE magic, then answer yes when she offers her sorceries.
  7. Buy Dusk's five sorceries before placing the Lordvessel, and buy Resist Curse from Ingward before killing him.

Logan's questline has a mandatory purchase. You must buy every single spell he sells — roughly 183,000 souls — or he never goes mad, and White Dragon Breath never becomes available. The sequence is: free him in Sen's, buy him out at Firelink, free him in the Archives, buy his crystal spells there, kill Seath the Scaleless, reload, talk to him until he clearly stops recognising you, reload again so he leaves, then find him insane in the room where you first met Seath and kill him. Killing him early after buying every spell also drops White Dragon Breath, but forfeits Logan's Catalyst and the rest of the Big Hat set.
Dusk's summon sign disappears once you place the Lordvessel. Buy all five of her sorceries before that, or your only remaining route is the DLC: take the Broken Pendant from the crystal golem at the start of The Duke's Archives to the spot in Darkroot Basin where her golem stood, enter Oolacile, and buy the same five from Elizabeth instead. Answering no to her first question removes her from the game outright, and killing the Golden Crystal Golem with lingering AoE magic such as chaos fireballs can kill her the instant she is freed.
Buy Resist Curse before you kill Ingward. He is the only seller, and killing him for the Key to the Seal — the standard shortcut into the Darkwraith covenant — locks the spell away for the cycle. Pay him the 5,000 souls first, then decide his fate.
Bond of a PyromancerSilver

"Acquire all pyromancies." 19 pyromancies — all twenty except Black Flame, which is DLC-only and not counted. The whole trophy hinges on one NPC who will not appear at all if you are too far into the game, and one dialogue answer that removes another NPC permanently.

Prerequisites

  1. Free Laurentius of the Great Swamp in the Depths, from a barrel past the first Butcher. Roll through the barrels — attacking them can kill him.
  2. At Firelink he asks whether you find the magics unsavoury: answer No, or he never teaches you anything. Buy his five spells straight away.
  3. Upgrade your Pyromancy Flame to +10. Quelana does not exist in the world below that threshold.
  4. Spawn and buy out Quelana before killing the Bed of Chaos — she never appears if it is already dead.
  5. Contract an Egg Head in the Demon Ruins: tap an egg-burdened creature lightly and let one grab you. This unlocks Eingyi's shop, and you only need to do it once.
  6. Answer yes to Eingyi and join the Chaos Servant covenant with the Daughter of Chaos.
  7. Offer 30 Humanity in total to reach Chaos Servant +2.

Kill the Bed of Chaos before finding Quelana and six pyromancies are gone for the cycle. She only spawns in the Blighttown swamp — by the stone pillar between Quelaag's Domain and the second waterwheel — once your Pyromancy Flame is at +10 or higher, and she will never spawn at all if the Bed of Chaos is already dead. Spawn her, buy her out, then go to Lost Izalith. Fire Tempest is her thanks for killing her mother and sisters, so return to her after the Bed of Chaos dies.
Never tell Laurentius where you learned chaos pyromancy. Once you have met the Daughter of Chaos or Quelana, or simply carry a chaos pyromancy, he asks where such power comes from. Answer yes and he leaves Firelink for Blighttown, goes hollow, and attacks you on sight — with Iron Flesh and Flash Sweat still unsold. Answer no and he stays a merchant forever. Safest of all: buy his five spells before you ever set foot in Quelaag's Domain.
Answering "no" to Eingyi blocks the Chaos Servant covenant. He guards the corridor and asks if you are a new servant of the Fair Lady. If you say no, you cannot join normally until you either kill him or buy absolution from Oswald — but killing him costs you Poison Mist and Toxic Mist. The painless fix is to quit to the menu and reload while standing in front of him; he asks again.
Harming the Daughter of Chaos betrays the covenant; killing her deactivates the bonfire. Offering 30 Humanity again on a later cycle yields no second Chaos Storm.
Prayer of a MaidenSilver

"Acquire all miracles." All 23 miracles — none of them are DLC. Seven come from covenant ranks, so this trophy drags three separate covenant grinds along with it, and the Rhea of Thorolund questline has the tightest timer of anything in the game.

Prerequisites

  1. If you did not start as a Knight or Cleric, join the Way of White — otherwise Petrus will not sell you miracles early on.
  2. Talk to Petrus of Thorolund at Firelink after beating the Capra Demon, so Rhea's party leaves for the Catacombs. Do not kill Petrus before they arrive, or all three turn up hostile.
  3. Rescue Rhea in the Tomb of the Giants — she is in the pit Patches kicks you into. Kill her two hollowed escorts, Vince and Nico, then speak to her again.
  4. Buy Rhea out at the Undead Parish altar immediately. You have a two-boss window before Petrus murders her; see the warning below.
  5. Join Warrior of Sunlight and reach +1 with 10 Sunlight Medals.
  6. Join Blade of the Darkmoon and reach +1 with 10 Souvenirs of Reprisal, all before Gwyndolin dies.
  7. Join Gravelord Servant and reach +1 with 10 Eyes of Death, all before Nito dies.
  8. Complete Siegmeyer of Catarina up to his Firelink visit and answer yes about the bells.
  9. Keep a second Soul of Gwyn: one is spent on Sunlight Spear, the other on the Great Lord Greatsword for Knight's Honor.

Rhea has a two-boss timer, and Petrus kills her when it runs out. Once you have rescued her from the Tomb of the Giants, killing any two of the Gaping Dragon, Bell Gargoyles, Priscilla, Sif, Nito, Quelaag, Bed of Chaos, Iron Golem, Ornstein & Smough, the Four Kings or Seath — only bosses killed after the rescue count — makes Petrus murder her at the Undead Parish altar, taking Great Heal, Magic Barrier and Wrath of the Gods with her. Warp straight to the Parish and buy her out before doing anything else. Once she is bought out she leaves for the Archives on her own and is safe.
Emit Force is the end of a five-step chain, and one wrong answer ends it. Meet Siegmeyer outside Sen's Fortress or on the boulder ledge inside; redirect the boulders so he moves on; reach Anor Londo by the Batwing Demon flight rather than warping in, or he never appears there; clear the three Silver Knights beside him and take the Tiny Being's Ring; then, after the Lordvessel, find him at the Firelink bonfire and answer yes when he asks whether you rang both bells. Attacking him at any point makes him hostile for the rest of the game.
Sunlight Spear and the Great Lord Greatsword both eat a Soul of Gwyn. Gwyn drops one soul per cycle, so these two trophies cannot both be served on the same playthrough. Plan which cycle spends the soul on the miracle and which spends it on the weapon.
None of the three covenant grinds need other players. Souvenirs of Reprisal drop from the Crow Demons in the Painted World at about 6%, and Snuggly trades one for a Pendant. Sunlight Medals: three sit in a chest guarded by a spear Silver Knight opposite the first Anor Londo bonfire, Lautrec gives one for saving him, Solaire hands one over for every boss you clear together while he survives, and Chaos Bugs in Lost Izalith drop them at about 3%. Eyes of Death: three sit in the Catacombs behind the Titanite Demon, three more in the Tomb of the Giants above the first bonfire, Patches sells three at 3,000 souls each, and Basilisks drop them at about 6%. All of it is farmable offline.
Acquiring Bountiful Sunlight and Soothing Sunlight does not require Princess's Guard membership — the two Pisacas drop them regardless. Membership only gates casting them, which the trophy does not check.
Boss trophiesSilver ×6

Dark Souls only awards a trophy for six bosses: the four Lord Soul holders, plus two optional ones. Everything else — the Gargoyles, Quelaag, Sif, Ornstein & Smough, even Gwyn himself — gives no trophy of its own, though most of them are gates for something on another tab. The unmissable four are plain checkboxes; the two optional ones get their own dropdown with the setup, the same way the covenants work.

Unmissable — the four Lord Souls

  1. Defeat Gravelord Nito — Tomb of the Giants Silver
  2. Defeat Bed of Chaos — Lost Izalith Silver
  3. Defeat the Four Kings — The Abyss, New Londo Ruins Silver
  4. Defeat Seath the Scaleless — Crystal Cave Silver

Optional — needs setup

Defeat Crossbreed PriscillaSilver
  1. Return to the Northern Undead Asylum: ride the Firelink lift toward Undead Parish, jump off onto the ruined ledge, climb the tower buttress and rest in the giant crow's nest.
  2. Take the Peculiar Doll from your original cell — a Black Knight guards it.
  3. With the doll in your inventory, touch the large painting in the Anor Londo gallery to enter the Painted World of Ariamis.
  4. Work through the Painted World to Priscilla at the far end.
  5. Cut her tail before you kill her for Priscilla's Dagger — she goes invisible, so tag her with a Throwing Knife or follow her footprints in the snow.
  6. She is entirely passive until you strike her. Leaving her alive is a valid choice on any run where you have already taken the tail and the dagger, but the trophy needs her dead.
Defeat the Dark Sun Gwyndolin — join his covenant firstSilver
  1. Pick up the Darkmoon Seance Ring in the Catacombs.
  2. In Anor Londo, ride the big rotating lift all the way down to the Darkmoon Tomb bonfire.
  3. Equip the ring so the statue blocking the corridor vanishes.
  4. Join the Blade of the Darkmoon first by kneeling on the carpet, and rank up to +1 if you still need the Darkmoon Blade miracle — killing him closes all of that permanently.
  5. Then walk into the fog and kill him. His soul makes both the Darkmoon Bow and the Tin Darkmoon Catalyst, so you need it on two separate cycles.
  6. Sunlight Blade appears in the Darkmoon Tomb once he is dead.
Order everything around Gwyndolin and Nito. Killing Gwyndolin ends the Blade of the Darkmoon covenant for that cycle, so the covenant trophy, the Darkmoon Blade miracle and his two boss-soul weapons all have to be handled before the fight. Killing Nito ends the Gravelord Servant covenant and stops Paladin Leeroy invading — so the Gravelord Sword, both Gravelord miracles, Grant and Sanctus all have to be done before he dies.
The Two EndingsGold ×2

Dark Souls has exactly two endings, and neither has a prerequisite beyond reaching the end. There is no questline, no item to offer and no point of no return — the entire choice is made in the ten seconds after Gwyn dies.

SAVE SCAM: the two endings are not mutually exclusive on one save. Kill Gwyn, back up your save file, take one ending, restore the backup and take the other. Otherwise you get one per cycle — and since Knight's Honor already needs three cycles, they cost you nothing extra.

To Link the Fire

Defeat Gwyn, Lord of Cinder in the Kiln of the First Flame, then light the bonfire that his corpse leaves behind. You succeed Gwyn as the next Great Lord, which is what Kingseeker Frampt wanted all along: the Chosen Undead burns, the land is revitalised and the Curse of the Undead is pushed back.

Dark Lord

Defeat Gwyn and then simply leave the arena without touching the bonfire — walk back out through the fog gate. The Primordial Serpents summon you, and you become the Dark Lord, ushering in the Age of Dark that Darkstalker Kaathe wanted. This is Kaathe's design, but joining the Darkwraiths is not a requirement for it.

Going for Dark Lord: do not touch the bonfire. It sits in the middle of the arena and lighting it is the same prompt you have pressed a thousand times.
