Skill issue? Now it's on the record.

Every death, counted. It spots the death screen and bumps the number a second later: no buttons to press, no count to correct.

Death count: 32
Real gameplay, scored by the app. Two frames over the dotted line and the counter goes up.

It knows when you've gone Hollow.

An obvious death screen is enough on its own. If it's borderline, the app waits for the sound or the text to back it up. After each count it ignores the next 20 seconds, so a slow death animation still counts once.

The death screen

Three times a second it scores how much your screen looks like a death. It goes by how the screen looks, so it still works with your game set to Italian.

The jingle

It also listens for the death sound, straight from your computer's audio. You don't need to set up a virtual cable.

The words

Install Tesseract, a free text-recognition tool, and it will also read the red text on screen and check it against a list of death messages.

From Lordran to the Lands Between.

These are the 11 games it was trained on. Pick yours from the list in the app before you start.

Playing something that isn't here? Choose Other and type the name. It still works, just more cautiously: the screen alone won't count a death, the sound or the text has to agree.

What leaves my computer?

Nothing. Everything runs on your computer, and your screen and audio are never uploaded.

Does it work offline?

Yes. It doesn't need an internet connection at all.

It missed a death.

Turn on Show probability and watch the score on a death screen. Near zero means it's looking at the wrong place: use Full screen or reselect the region. If it rises but doesn't count, turn on High sensitivity. Press + to fix the count.

It counted a death that didn't happen.

Turn High sensitivity off and capture just the game window or a region, so chat, alerts and menus stay out of view. Press minus to fix the count.

The OBS overlay is blank.

The app has to be running. If a second copy is open, port 7777 is taken and the app shows the overlay as unavailable.

Nothing happens when I press Start on a Mac.

Allow Screen Recording in System Settings, Privacy and Security, then restart the app.
